SWEET LASSI

Lassi is a popular traditional dahi (yogurt)-based drink that originated in the Indian subcontinent. Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes fruit.

sweet lassi is another cooling and refreshing drink to have in the summers. sweet lassi is quite popular in punjab and north india. this sweet lassi which i make at home is not heavy and very light..

To make lassi ,most people use homemade curd . it tastes best when made with fresh set curd and not sour one..

Ingredients:

  • Yogurt-1 cup
  • Chilled milk-1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp or as required
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder - a generous pin
  • Almond slice- 2no

Method:

  1. Take one cup curd in a bowl and whisk well.
  2. Add sugar and cardamon powder  and again whisk well.
  3. Then add chilled milk and again whisk well until frothy.
  4. And pour on serving glass.
  5. At top add cardamon powder and almond slices.

Saravana bhavan style channa kurma

SARAVANA BHAVAN STYLE CHANNA KURMA This is purely South Indian style kuruma type chana masala (Kondakadalai kurma in Tamil). This not north indian style channa masala. I followed my Saravana bhavan kurma recipe with small changes and made this korma adding kondakadalai/Chickpeas. You can use black chana as well.
