Tomato chutney is a type of chutney prepared using tomatoes as a primary ingredients. The tomatoes can be diced ,mashed or pulped and additional typical ingredients used include onion, garlic, sugar, salt , vinegar and spices.
You can store this in fridge and use it. This dish goes very well with curd rice, roti, idly & dosa too..

Ingredients:
- Tomato-3 no finely chopped
- Shallots/small onions-1/4 cup finely chopped
- Red chilli powder-4tbsp
- Sugar-1/2 tsp
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Mustard seeds/Kaduku-1tbsp
- Hing/perungayam-1/2tsp
- Curry leaves-1 spring
- Ulundu/urad dal-1 tbsp
Method:
2)In a pan, add oil and tomatoes finely chopped saute till they mash well and take in blender and grain into puree.
3)Then take all ingredients for tempering and in pan add oil then mustard
seed after they pop up , then add ulundu, curry leaves, hing, small onion
4)Then add puree, red chilli powder, salt, sugar mix well and bring it to boil
5)serve with idly, rice, roti .
