PRAWN MASALA/PRAWN GRAVY/PRAWN THOKKU

My hubby's favourite dish is prawn and particularly he like this dish very much. this dish is very simple and we can do it within few minutes, i hope you all like this. the best combination of this dish is sambar ,rasam or curd.Even we can mix this gravy with plain white rice and even we can have this with roti, chapati or dosa..

There is nothing more to say than it is spicy, tangy, succulent, juicy and of course YUMMY.

Ingredients:


  • Prawns -500 grams
  • Garlic-6 no
  • Onion chopped-1 no
  • Tomato chopped-1 no
  • Red chilli powder-1 tbsp
  • Dhanaya powder-1/2tbsp
  • Turmeric powder-1tsp
  • Salt - as per required
  • Water-as per required
  • Pepper powder/Milagu powder-1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves- a handfull

Method:


  1. First clean the prawns and keep separately.
  2. Heat pan  add oil and crushed garlic.
  3. Then add some onion chopped fry till golden colour.
  4. Now add chopped tomato & cook till it turns mushy.
  5. Add all spice powder mix well.
  6. Atlast add prawns, salt mix well.
  7. Add required water ,don't add too much water because prawn itself laves water.close and cook .
  8. When its became thick little bit add pepper powder mix well.
  9. Last add coriander leaves mix well.
  10. Serve it.
