RAJASTHAN DHABA STYLE SIMPLE DAL TADKA


Dal  is a very simple basic recipe but looks very vibrant ... i made this recipe from leftover
 Thuvaram /split gram/yellow lentil paruppu in fridge in simple way.Dal is very healthy 
dish for baby even for us.Mainly for growing kids dal is very healthy food..

Soon i vl share many dal recipes in simple way to my list.while i travelling north and i learned 
this from dhaba and i post this recipe for this blog...

Rajasthan dhaba simple dal tadka recipe:

Easy and nutritious dal recipe with aromatic masala...

Recipe type: curries

Serves: 4 nos

Ingredients:

  • split gram/ yellow lentil/Thuvaram paruppu- 1cup
  • Ghee -2tbsp
  • cumin seed-1tsp
  • mustard seed-1tsp
  • onion -1/4 finely chopped
  • Ginger & Garlic -1/2 tsp crushed
  • Green chilli -1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Tomato-1/4 cup finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves- a handful  finely chopped
  • Hing/perungayam - pinch
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan add mustard let it sizzle.
  2. Now add cumin, green chilli  ,onion and ginger&garlic mix well .cook till golden.
  3. Add in tomato chopped ,salt ,turmeric powder and cook till its mash well .
  4. When oil separates out add cooked dal mix well and bring it to a boil.
  5. Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
  6. This important step ,take one spoon add ghee little bit ,when its heated add red chilli powder bring it to boil and pour on dal
  7. serve.

2)Now make seasoning, heat ghee add mustard let it pop well



3)Add in cumin ,green chilli, onions cook till golden



4)Add tomato chopped, ginger & garlic , turmeric powder and mix well


5)When oil loose out, add dal bring it to a boil and add coriander leaves


6)In spoon add ghee and add red chilli powder bring it to a boil ,pour on dal



7)serve
