Today’s recipe is a healthy breakfast adai recipe made with oats. Since it is made with oats and lentils, it can be called as oats adai or Oats lentil pancake ...
The method of preparing oats adai is very similar to that of normal adai recipe, except that oats is added instead of rice.
Oats adai is very easy to prepare. There is no need of fermentation. You just have to soak all the lentils for 2 hours, and then grind together with oats. And as soon as the batter is ready, the adai can be made. I always love Indian style oats dishes like oats upma, oats dosa, oats adai, oats kozhukkattai, and many others.
This oats adai will not be very crisp like the normal adai we make, since I have used only oats and no rice. But if you want crispy adai dosa, then you can also add one handful of rice while soaking lentils for adai.
We can add drumstick leaves, you can also replace it with vegetables or any other spinach variety.
Serve oats adai with coconut chutney, sambar, sugar, jaggery or with idli podi. I love adai with coconut chutney etc...
