Ingredients:

  • Toor dal/Thuvaram paruppu-1 cup
  • Onion chopped-1 no
  • Tomato chopped-1 no
  • Curry leaves-1 spring
  • Dhanaya leaves- a spring
  • Water-1/2 cup
  • Pepper as per taste

Method:

  1. First  boil the paruppu and keep separately .
  2. Then take cooker add oil then add curry leaves, onion chopped, tomato chopped fry till golden colour.
  3. Then add Thuvaram paruppu boiled water and dhanaya leaves ,salt allow to boil well.
  4. Then strain it and serve it with pepper.

Saravana bhavan style channa kurma

SARAVANA BHAVAN STYLE CHANNA KURMA This is purely South Indian style kuruma type chana masala (Kondakadalai kurma in Tamil). This not north indian style channa masala. I followed my Saravana bhavan kurma recipe with small changes and made this korma adding kondakadalai/Chickpeas. You can use black chana as well.
